Description
Rodman reinforce materials and then test post tensioning systems in structures such as parking garages, bridges and stadiums. These structures contain long stretches of unsupported elements. It’s very critical to have the right technical knowledge and hands-on experience.
What they do
High Rise Rodman workers generally work outside in all weather, and some work indoors in manufacturing plants or underground work sites. Work sites may be in a variety of locations ranging from remote areas where they could be working on dams, bridges or mining projects to urban environments where they could work on high rise buildings, parking garages, transit systems, tunnels or stadiums.
Compensation Available:
After two years: $52,000
An apprentice: [$15] per hour.
Requirements:
Grade 10 education is minimum. Unions require grade 12. High school certification is preferred.
